Itchy Breast Causes

The skin is the largest organ in the body and it covers all of the external surfaces including the breasts. When the breasts feel itchy, it could simply mean a minor dryness of the skin or it could be a sign of a much serious condition. There are different causes of itchy breast and some even goes beyond the skin conditions that cause itchiness.

The most common cause of itching in the breast area is irritation or an allergic reaction. Since the breasts can be sensitive, the skin around it can also be sensitive and this can be the reason why irritation can easily bring itchiness around the area.

Other substances especially chemicals such as strong detergents and even perfumes can cause allergies to the breast area and can lead to rashes and redness. These rashes are the reasons why the skin in the breasts becomes extremely itchy.
